St Francis of Assisi Church Nailsea.

Church Roof Refurbishment

St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Nailsea Bristol; began life in a small hut where parishioners had been attending since 1950. As the local community grew a larger more substantial church was needed, and a working party was formed to the raise funds. The Church was built in 1986 by Stone & Co Limited and after much fund raising a church hall and carpark was later added to the site in 2000.

Stone BCI Limited are now appointed again for the new roof refurbishment works having had a relationship with the church for nearly 40 years we are very pleased to be working with the architects Jonah Jay from Cullompton Devon and Father Frank to make the much-needed repairs with the least disruption to the Church activities.

Fire at Underfall Yard - Bristol - BBC Interview

Please listen to our BBC interview video here at this link BBC INTERVIEW

Underfall Yard is a historical working boatyard in Bristol that welcomes visitors. There is an ever-changing landscape of boats to enjoy thanks to the skilled maritime businesses that call the yard home. They have organisations relating to boat building, rigging, blacksmithing, marine engineering, marine safety, maritime training and maritime leisure pursuits. In their Visitor Centre you can explore the fascinating story of Bristol’s Floating Harbour. After a devastating fire that caused considerable damage works are underway and being completed by Stone BCI. Steve Sandle, foreman in charge of the renovations, said: "It's a considerable job and a messy job because of the fire.

"Everything is smoke damaged and brittle.

"We're stripping out and reusing what we can; there's a few months still to go before it's finished.

Director of the Underfall Yard Trust Sarah Murray said the yard was 'moving on' from the fire thanks to considerable funding and we are looking forward to seeing the yard fully restored and welcoming visitors again in the near future.
